Martial Arts is Great for Children

A recent study found that children in martial arts have an increased sense of responsibility, a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks, and a higher sense of self-esteem. This is why millions of parents are using martial arts to supplement their children’s education.

Our reward system improves children’s self-esteem
The belt system is the key to building self-esteem. When kids earn their belts it gives them a great sense of accomplishment that really improves the way they feel about themselves.

Our program teaches discipline
We have a trained staff of patient instructors who love to work with children, but are also very clear about limits. We enforce good rules of behavior in class, and we expect the same behavior at home and in school.

Our program teaches children essential self defense skills
Our program teaches practical, proven self defense methods. We also teach the juniors that the moves they learn in class will work, so they don’t go home and try them on family members or neighbors.

Our activities channel children’s aggression
Our program is highly recommended because of the positive outlet it gives the kids for all of their energy.

WHY PARENTS LOVE MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING FOR THEIR KIDS...

Maybe it's because it builds their child's self-esteem and teaches them to respect themselves and respect others.

Maybe it's because it teaches them to work toward goals, have self control and defend themselves in any situation.

Maybe it's because independent studies have shown that Martial Arts students have better grades and get in less trouble.

Maybe it's because our instructors keep the kids interested and involved, while learning in a safe, supervised, positive environment.

Or maybe it's because the kids absolutely love it! Why not give your kids an advantage in life that lasts a lifetime.

Are the influences in your child’s life positive?

What about Martial Arts? More and more parents are realizing the benefits associated with Martial Arts programs. No longer is it about punching and kicking, it's about building a better person. There are wonderful structured programs that are designed to bring out the best in each and every child. The programs teach balance and coordination that will help them in many other activities. It also teaches them self confidence and self discipline, which gives them the will to say no despite peer pressure when things are wrong. Martial Arts improve concentration, which often improves school work and it teaches them useful techniques that will help prevent them from danger.

Be selective in your choice of studios. Meet the instructors and questions their beliefs, are the interests of their students the primary concern. View a class and be comfortable with what you see, they should be structured with discipline and fun. Talk to other parents and students, they'll be honest with you. For junior students it's not so much what system they learn (ie: Karate, Kung fu, Tae kwon do etc.), but how it’s being taught. Martial arts instructors should be role models for your kids, choose them wisely.

Most studios offer wonderful junior programs, call today and get your child a head start in life.
